THE INCIDENT:
On an undetermined date, Benny Sanduíche was reported in connection with the self-help publication "Sandwiched Between Good and Great." The text promised readers success in any endeavor, contingent on crediting Benny for the outcome. Investigation linked the book to a pattern of increasingly reckless and criminal behavior among readers, each incident traced back to the publication. Blank pages at the rear of surviving copies were found to record handwritten wishes that vanished by morning, consistently followed by favorable turns of fortune for the writer. Subject is believed to be a fallen angel bound to save 7,777 souls before readmission to Heaven. The book is assessed as an attempt to offload this obligation onto unwitting readers. The publication has since been recalled, though not all copies have been recovered. |
