Core Roll
Whenever you try something risky or uncertain, roll 2d6 + your Power Modifier.
- 10+ — You do it. Clean success, no catches.
- 7-9 — You do it, but something goes sideways.
- 6- — You don't succeed... but the story moves forward, and you gain an Adversity Token.
Finding Your Power Modifier
Look at your tags — the traits, abilities, and interests that describe your character.
- Helpful tag that fits the situation? +1 each.
- Hindering tag that fits the situation? −1 each.
Add up all your tags, then add that number to your 2d6 roll.
Example: You're tracking someone. You're Hyper-focused (+1), but also Sensory Overloaded (−1). Those cancel out, so your modifier is 0. Just roll 2d6 as usual.
